Threaded Rods (Stud Bolts / All-Thread Rods)

Description:
Threaded rods, also known as stud bolts or all-thread rods, are long steel fasteners that are fully threaded along their entire length. They function like extended bolts and can be cut to any required size. Threaded rods are widely used in construction, electrical installations, plumbing, HVAC systems, and industrial machinery for fastening, joining, or suspending components.

Types of Threaded Rods

  1. By Thread Standard

    • Metric (M6, M8, M10, M12, etc.) – based on ISO/DIN standards.

    • Imperial (1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, etc.) – based on UNC/UNF standards.

  2. By Material

    • Carbon Steel (standard, economical).

    • Stainless Steel 304 / 316 (excellent corrosion resistance).

    • Alloy Steel (high tensile strength).

    • Brass / Copper Alloy (specialty applications).

  3. By Surface Finish

    • Zinc Plated (indoor, light corrosion protection).

    • Hot-Dip Galvanized (HDG) (outdoor, heavy corrosion protection).

    • Stainless Steel (natural corrosion resistance).

    • Plain / Black Steel (requires coating, basic use).

  4. By Form

    • Fully Threaded Rods (most common).

    • Stud Bolts (threaded only at both ends).

    • Acme Thread Rods (machinery, power transmission).

Strength Grades

  • Metric Grades: 4.8, 8.8, 10.9, 12.9.

  • Imperial Grades: SAE Grade 2, 5, 8; ASTM A193 B7.

  • Higher grades = higher tensile strength, suitable for heavy-duty and industrial applications.

Applications

  • Construction: Anchoring beams, columns, and structural supports.

  • Electrical: Supporting EMT conduit, flexible conduit, and cable trays with strut channels.

  • Plumbing: Hanging pipes, valves, and fixtures.

  • HVAC: Suspending ducts, fans, and units.

  • Industrial: Machinery assembly, equipment fastening.

  • DIY / Furniture: Shelving, cabinets, bed frames.

How to Select the Right Threaded Rod

  1. Diameter & Length → Example: M12 × 2000 mm = 12 mm diameter, 2 m long.

  2. Thread Standard → Match nuts and washers (Metric vs Imperial).

  3. Material & Finish → Choose based on environment (indoor zinc vs outdoor HDG/stainless).

  4. Strength Grade → Select according to load requirements.

Quality Commitment

Our threaded rods are manufactured to DIN, ISO, ASTM, and ANSI standards, ensuring consistent strength, straightness, and thread accuracy. With precise threading and durable coatings, they provide reliable fastening solutions across industries.
